Where Hibachi Works in Charlotte

Charlotte's housing mix gives us a lot of venue flexibility. Single-family backyards in Myers Park, Dilworth, Ballantyne, and along the Lake Norman shoreline are our most common setup, especially anything with a patio or pool deck where the grill can sit at least 10 feet from any structure. Lake Norman docks and waterfront properties are a favorite in summer; we set up dockside so guests can watch the show with the lake behind us. Uptown and South End rooftops work well when the building allows open-flame cooking, and we've served plenty of high-rise terraces along Tryon and in the Camp North End / Optimist Park area. For corporate clients, we set up at SouthPark, Ballantyne Corporate Park, and Uptown office buildings with a ventilated patio or outdoor courtyard. Short-term rentals are a strong fit too, particularly Lake Norman houses booked for bachelor and bachelorette weekends.

Charlotte's humid subtropical climate gives us an unusually long outdoor hibachi season. March through November is comfortable outdoors. June through August often hits the mid-90s and humid, so we recommend evening service start times (after 6:30pm) and shaded setup, especially for pool-deck events. December through February still supports outdoor events 60-70% of the time thanks to Charlotte's mild winters, but a covered patio or an indoor-with-ventilation setup is the safer call. Indoor hibachi requires a vented space with adequate ceiling height; we walk through your specific layout when you book.

Do you cover Lake Norman, Lake Wylie, and the South Carolina suburbs? Yes. Lake Norman (Mooresville, Cornelius, Huntersville, Davidson, Denver), Lake Wylie, and the SC-side suburbs (Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Indian Land, Rock Hill) are all part of our standard Charlotte service footprint.

Can you set up at a Charlotte short-term rental or Airbnb? Yes, with the host's written approval. Most Lake Norman and Uptown rentals are hibachi-friendly; we recommend confirming with the property owner in advance, especially for indoor cooking or any open-flame use.

What's the minimum booking? A $600 event minimum applies (roughly 10 guests at the standard $60 per adult rate). Smaller parties are welcome; you cover the difference up to the minimum.

Each Charlotte booking includes a private hibachi chef, the mobile grill, all ingredients, plates and chopsticks for service, the 90-minute interactive show, and full setup and breakdown. Each guest picks two proteins from chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, or tofu, with optional premium upgrades to filet mignon (+$5) or lobster tail (+$10). Sides come standard for every guest: fried rice, hibachi vegetables, garden salad, and our signature ginger and yum-yum sauces.
