Single-family backyards in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, McLean, Great Falls, and Vienna are heavy bookings for milestone birthdays and rehearsal dinners. Old Town Alexandria gardens and historic homes work beautifully for intimate events. Condo terraces and rooftops in Penn Quarter, Navy Yard, the Wharf, NoMa, Rosslyn, and Pentagon City work when the building allows open-flame cooking; DC and Arlington building policies vary, so confirm in advance. June through August is hot and humid; evening start times (7pm or later), shaded rooftops, and pool-deck setups (more common in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs) help. September and October are our favorite months in the DMV: dry, cool, perfect for rooftop and garden events. December through February moves indoors or to covered/heated patios; we set up indoors with proper ventilation or in vented garages where available (more common in the suburbs). Can you set up on a DC rooftop or condo terrace? Often yes, with the building's written approval for open-flame cooking. DC and Arlington building policies vary significantly; confirm with your property management before booking. Townhouse and single-family backyards are typically the easiest DC setup.

What's the minimum booking? A $600 event minimum applies (roughly 10 guests at the standard $60 per adult rate). Smaller parties are welcome; you cover the difference up to the minimum.

Every DC and DMV booking includes a private hibachi chef, the mobile teppanyaki grill, all ingredients, service plates and chopsticks, the 90-minute live show, and full setup and breakdown. Each guest picks two proteins from chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, or tofu, with the option to upgrade to filet mignon (+$5) or lobster tail (+$10). Every plate comes with fried rice, hibachi vegetables, a garden salad, and our signature ginger and yum-yum sauces. We accommodate vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, keto, halal, and kosher requests with advance notice; halal is especially common for our diplomatic and embassy clients.
