Rhode Island Seasonality and Outdoor Setup

Rhode Island's humid continental climate gives us a defined summer window and a real winter indoor stretch. Late May through September is the reliable outdoor window and our peak demand; July and August are perfect coastal weather with ocean breeze. September and October are stunning shoulder months and our favorite for Newport mansion lawns. November through April moves indoors or to heated/covered terraces; we set up in three-season porches with heat, vented garages with the door open, or indoors with proper ventilation. Snow season runs December through March; we flex bookings around storm advisories. Newport's Bellevue Avenue lawns are mostly summer-only.

Do you serve Newport mansions, Watch Hill, and Block Island? Yes. Newport (including Bellevue Avenue mansion properties), Watch Hill, Weekapaug, Westerly, Narragansett, and Block Island are all part of our standard Rhode Island service area. Block Island bookings have additional logistics we'll plan together.

Can you set up on a Newport mansion lawn or terrace? Yes, with the property's written approval and adequate clearance from any historic structure. We've set up at private estate lawns, terraces, and pool decks; we walk through your specific layout at booking.

What's the minimum booking? A $600 event minimum applies (roughly 10 guests at the standard $60 per adult rate). Smaller parties are welcome; you cover the difference up to the minimum.

What's Included With Every Rhode Island Booking

Every Rhode Island booking includes a private hibachi chef, the mobile teppanyaki grill, all ingredients, service plates and chopsticks, the 90-minute live show, and full setup and breakdown. Each guest picks two proteins from chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, or tofu, with the option to upgrade to filet mignon (+$5) or lobster tail (+$10) (lobster pairs naturally with the Ocean State coastal scene). Every plate comes with fried rice, hibachi vegetables, a garden salad, and our signature ginger and yum-yum sauces. We accommodate vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, keto, halal, and kosher requests with advance notice.
